Shanjeev Rajendran
Data platform architect. I built Cloakroom, an open-source plugin that keeps secrets and personal data out of Claude Code.
Projects
Cloakroom, an open-source plugin for Claude Code. It replaces secrets and personal data with placeholders before the model sees them, then restores the real values in what Claude writes. It runs on your machine and learns from your corrections.
Background
Fourteen years building enterprise data platforms, based in Charlotte.
- Before: Tata Consultancy Services, Mercedes-Benz R&D, Accenture, Altimetrik
- Work: metadata-driven frameworks on Snowflake, dbt, Airflow and AWS that replace source-by-source engineering with configuration, plus the CI/CD and testing around them
- Credentials: SnowPro Core, CKAD, B.E. Mechanical Engineering (Anna University)
The two halves connect: the data that must never leave a bank's platform is the same kind of data people paste into AI tools. Cloakroom came from that.
How I work
I keep a list of what gets in the way when I use AI tools, check it against what already exists, and build only where nothing fits. Each project ships with a benchmark you can rerun.
